Research (Blog Post) Roundup
Over on the NAAFA Myspace page :
Overweight and Obese Children Eat Less Than Their Healthy Weight Peers.

Over at We Are the Real Deal:
Are our brains hardwired to hate our bodies?
“A new study published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences shows that woman’s brains are showing ‘eating disordered’ traits regardless of how they ‘think’ they actually feel about themselves. “
*Simone made a point in comments about the above : “I’d caution everyone to be skeptical of the ‘hardwired’ study. It’s an interesting preliminary finding, but definitely an examples of small sample statistics!”
Over on Corpulent:

“A new study, to be published in the International Journal of Obesity, has found that negative attitudes towards ‘obese’ people are based on an emotional response of disgust.”
And over at Fat and Sassy:
Starve the Fat Babies Part 2.
“A study by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill researchers found that obese children as young as 3 years old have elevated levels of C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation that in adults is considered an early warning sign for possible future heart disease.”
