This is a very brief post. We’re short on content today and I just don’t have time to cover.
But, I know some people have been wondered about the Zaftig Chicks and Joanna recently informed us that they’re back and courting controversy right out of the gate.
I’m not gonna comment on that post since I have neither the time nor inclination to find out if so-and-so is a mooch. I just wanted to let you all know that our favorite glitterbabes are back.

This isn’t about the Zaftig Chicks but Shannon I wondered if you saw the news that Carrie Fisher is going to become the new Jenny Craig spokeswoman? She said she’s on the program because someone made a comment that she’s no longer the hot Princess Leia in the metal bikini.
Do. Not. Care. Their blog is poorly written, lacks content and their (pseudo?) We Are Better Than You (Did We Mention BOOBS!!!??) attitude gets on all my nerves.
Whatever hater. All those comments you left on our blog totally say otherwise. Quit hatin’ to try and fit in the cool kids. Boobies rock!!!

Whenever I read the phrase “start drama,” I imagine Fergie’s voice singing “You touch me, Imma start some drama, and you don’t want no drama. No no no no drama.”

Bianca; Yeah, that was before you two confessed you just piggybacked on the Fatosphere to become popular, which was pathetically sad. You can keep your boobs and your glitter and your weight loss efforts.

I’m sorry, but the fact that you are holding on to all this anger a year after the fact makes me laugh. And feel kind of sad for you. You need to let it go.
The sugar monster post is a month old, and until now no one paid much attention to it. So thanks for the blog hits.
But seriously, don’t read us. It’s as simple as that.
And this is the last time I will post here. I’m cool with some of the writers on this blog, and we’ll keep the drama at our place from now on. We’ll see you over there. Because you know you will be.

Look, I don’t wanna start drama either. But as someone who has been a pretty active and opinionated presence around here, I feel like I should say something about this.
I like boobs and glitter. I really do.
I liked to Zaftig’s in their earlier incarnation.
But that screed against The Sugar Monster was just beyond the f*cking pale. Zaftig’s 2.0 ain’t gettin’ no love from me. I am incredibly disappointed that Atchka chose to link to that sh*t, with anything but a resounding condemnation. And I am heartened that not all of the bloggers around here are drinking the pink glitter cool-aid.
Zaftigs, if you’re reading this, I’d like to offer a quote from Buckaroo Bonzai.

We had several of our readers ask what happened to Zaftig Chicks in Let It Out, so I felt like it was valid to inform them that they were back.
I’m not condemning what they wrote because I can neither verify nor deny what they have written about her. I think that those who know the situation better can comment on the validity and the justification of directly condemning either ZC or Sugar Monster. I think that what people do on their personal blogs is their own business and I’m certainly not going to tell others how to blog.
That being said, I am wary of accusing anyone of lying or manipulating others for personal gain. You cannot know for certain how honest a person is being on the internet, so if people are asking for money to help with personal problems, that person should also expect to receive a certain amount of skepticism.
I’m sorry if that’s not definitive enough, but unless I’m certain that ZC is making hay out of nothing, then I’ll leave it up to others to hash out the appropriateness of their post.

I understand where you’re coming from, and why this was posted here.
I’m mostly disappointed with the Zaftigs, who I think have done a lot of cool things. And the Sugar Monster rant just struck me as a whole lot of misdirected anger.
It’s like, Bianca, did this chick f*ck your boyfriend? No? Then calm the f*ck down.

I agree. I think it’s inappropriate to make assumptions about others unless you have all the facts, but they feel strongly about it and I hope others will defend Sugar Monster with what they know of her situation.

Shannon, if you need to ‘verify’ what they wrote, check out their fucking blog. Seriously? That’s a weak excuse. You linked to it, you should be aware of what they’re writing. Their attack on Sugar Monster, whoever she is, poor and unstable or maliciously manipulative, was beyond all belief. A simple “Hey, this is the Zaftig Chicks new address, go check them out” would’ve been fine, instead of pointing out how they’re courting controversy, etc. You’re just helping them get popular again which frankly, they don’t deserve. You don’t need to be directly involved in a situation to look at it and say “Hey, that’s some really mean, privileged shit right there.” and back away slowly.

I don’t have time to verify their blog. I only brought up the controversy because the Zaftig Chicks seems to enjoy stirring the pot and two posts in, they’re already at it again. I’m not trying to help them get popular, I’m simply informing those who enjoy ZC that they are back and doing what they do best: being rude assholes (and I say that with all due respect, given my status as an irreverent, lovable asshole).
I don’t feel like I can refute the ZC claims about Sugar Monster because I don’t know enough to defend Sugar Monster. I think that if there are people giving her financial support, that they can defend her better.
I can’t think of any other blog that has disappeared from the fatosphere that people have expressed an interest in to me. I posted the link because there is an interest and mentioned the controversy because it is relevant to their previous dabbling in controversy. That is all.

I’ve been following Heidi since she blogged on SP, and I’m sorry to say that while I don’t agree with how nasty ZC were about what they said about her, I think they’re probably right. Having been used by supposed friends when I was trying to help them, I see what Heidi’s doing as sorta kinda maybe the same thing.
She has major problems and she’s running from them, not working on solving them, and in the process, she’s using people. Granted, those people will figure it out eventually, on their own, and then do whatever they feel they need to do. And eventually, Heidi won’t have any other places to run to, and she’ll have to face her problems (if mixing her drugs and booze doesn’t kill her first). But that’s no reason to be bitchy to her, and I won’t be following ZC because that seems to be what this new blog is about - being bitches, and there’s enough of that shit around without having to go looking for more of it.
